Ms Daly's Classroom

Welcome to Ms. Daly's classroom!

We aim to offer an Autism specific learning environment within a mainstream school. This type of educational setting facilitates optimum inclusion as part of the school community with access to mainstream activities as appropriate.

Currently we have a Junior Infant class with two children, one teacher and one SNA. Our Classroom is structured with specific areas for individual learning, group work, play and lunch. We enjoy a variety activitys throughout the day to develop fine and gross motor skills, aid sensory processing and provide exercises for both stimulation and preparation for learning.

Activity Snapshot

We fill up our day with different  activities, encouraging play that involves more than one if not all of our senses. Have a look through our slideshow see how much fun we have!

Christmas landed in Ms. Dalys classroom!

We had so much fun decorating our classroom
together for Christmas and our favourite
decorations are the artwork we completed!

We made snowflakes using crepe paper, we painted Santas boots and topped them off with cotton wool. After decorating our Christmas tree we painted our own with our finger prints! We practiced our cutting and sticking skills to make a beautiful crib.

A Snowman even came to visit our Tuff Tray! We had to put him back together again and it was lots of fun!

We love Halloween in Ms. Dalys classroom!

We rescued spiders who were trapped in jelly, we helped out a witch whose spaghetti hair needed cutting.
We painted and decorated Frankenstein monsters, we made lentil pumpkins and ghost feet too (we loved squelching our toes in the paint!) We practiced our cutting and sticking with spooky Halloween pictures.

Our nursery rhyme this week was the Incy Wincy, we pretended to be the sunshine and helped wipe away the raindrops for the Incy Wincy. We had so much fun with Incy that of course it was our classroom costume too!
