Cumann na mBunscol Hurling 2017
On Friday 12 May we competed in the East Mayo half of the Mayo Division 3 Hurling championship.
Our first match was against the eventual winners on the day, St. Colman's, Derrinabroc. Stephen Moran scored a fine point from a free in our only score of the game. Thanks to David Dolan and our staunch defence the score was kept to a reasonable level.
Our second match was a closer affair against Gaelscoil de Burca, Claremorris. Darragh Rumley scored a fine goal from a free which kept our heads up.
We battled valiantly but in vain to retain our 2016 title. As the saying goes, 'there's always next year!'
