Happy Cross Country runners 2022

Our Cross Country (#XC) squad for 2022 are a very talented group. Starting out with our first trials with every pupil from 2nd to 6th Class back on the 1st of September they trained hard for the last three weeks. Their hard work was rewarded with 7 individual medals and two team medals across all classes.

Second class ran 600m around Ballinrobe Race Course and Marc came home in second place overall, Peter in 11th with Isla 5th in the girls race. PJ ran an intelligent race to come home in 11th and claim an individual medal in the 3rd & 4th class race. And to cap it all off Amelia came 5th in the 5th & 6th Class race with Seán and Ryan 7th & 12th respectively in the boys.

And in the team competition the 5th & 6th Class boys won silver and the 5th & 6th Class girls ran an amazing race to win gold.

All medal winners from 3rd to 6th will race in Ballina on Saturday 1st October at 11am. Go n-éírí an bóthar libh!
