South Mayo Cross Country Championships
On Thursday 14th September 2017 37 runners travelled to Ballinrobe Racecourse to take part in the annual South Mayo Cross Country Championships.
The first races were for our 3rd & 4th Class squads who ran very well but were outside the medals. Next came 2nd Class and Ethan and Isabelle won medals in their respective races. The final races were the 5th & 6th Class races. Conor, James and Sophie won individual medals and we waited with bated breath to see if we had won any team medals. Our senior boys team; Conor, James, Shane, Kealan, David, Darragh (and supported by Patrick) came second and have qualified, along with Sophie, to compete in the Mayo Championships in Ballina on Thursday 28th September. Well done and thanks to all who participated in the trials, trained and ran on the day.
